Spicy Hyderbadi Chicken

It was dinner time , I planned on making soup n bread or dosa but then of course my husband said it doesn't sound like a weekend.. then we talked thro' couple of options , I only prayed we would arrive on something quick to make.. and suddenly it strucked me.Once my Quran mam had gavin me this chicken.MashaAllah it tasted soo heavenly and mouth watering..So i decided to make that dish today and Alhamdhulillah(Thanks to Almighty Allah) it came out so tasty n good..MashaAllah thanks to mam....Hope u all try this spicy chicken dish n leave me comments..







 Ingredients

Chicken -1kg
Oil-2tbsp

For Grinding:

Onion -1big
Ginger/garlic paste-2tbsp
Green Chillys-7-8(accto ur spice)
Corainder leaves -1 small bunch(around 1 cup)
Pudina/Mint leaves-1 small bunch(around 1 cup)
Tomato-1 medium
Salt-to taste
Turmeric pwd-1/2 tsp
Lemon -1 tsp(opt)






Method:

  • Wash and clean the chicken and cut into medium sized pieces.
  • Slice the Onion and deep fry in oil. Drain and place them on a plate lined with kitchen towel to absorb excess oil.
  • Along with the fried onion grind the other ingredients for grinding.
  • Marinate the chicken for half an hour with the grinded paste.
  • Then pressure cook by adding Just 2 tbspoon oil to it .when it is cooked ,Transfer the gravyto a heavy bottomed pan and allow to thicken the gravy by stirring in between.
  • when the gravy is thickened,put off the flame and let it rest for 5 min.
  • Serve hot with any indian bread, butter naan,tandoor roti or basmati rice.

Note:-
The Main thing in this recipe is sauting of the onion or gg paste is not needed here.All is to put in a pressure cooker or pan n cook. Very easy and tasty recipe.If u cook in Pressure cooker just one or two whistle is enough.Otherwise the chicken ll break into pieces if u give more whistle.
