Coleslaw

Coleslaw is generally eaten as a side dish with foods such as barbeecue, French fries, and fried chicken. It may also be used as a sandwitch ingredient, placed on barbecue sandwiches and hot dogs along with chilli and hot mustard.
A variety of seasonings, such as celery seed, may be added. The dressing is usually allowed to settle on the blended ingredients for several hours before being served. The cabbage may come in finely minced pieces, shredded strips, or small squares.



INGREDIENTS
  • 450 gm white cabbage
  • 175gms carrots-peeled 
  • 150 ml mayonnaise
  • salt (little)
  • Sugar 5 tsp(u an use tropicana sweetener also)
  • curd 3 tbsp(optional)
*For diet concious half mayonnaise and half curd can be used.
      Method  
Remove the outer leaves from the white cabbage and cut into wedges.
Remove and discard the stems. Feed the cabbage wedges  through the slicing blade . Grate  the carrots. Combine the salad ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Fold in the mayonnaise and season with little salt and sugar.
